As a member of the Accounting Team, you will be eligible for a weekly work-from-home day, monthly celebration lunches out of the office and quarterly offsite social events.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant role is a great avenue to put your skillset to work and gain experience in a wide array of accounting topics. You will engage in advanced analytical thinking, maximize your productivity by implementing creative uses of technology, further your knowledge of key accounting concepts and controls, and strengthen your leadership skills on an ambitious team that is dedicated to seeing its members succeed.

 

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with product leaders to understand their area of the business and ensure that expenses are accounted for accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly gross margin reports for upper management and product teams.
  • Perform monthly expense allocations and support each business line with divisional P&L’s.
  • Reconcile and analyze a wide array of balance sheet and P&L accounts including cash, debt, accruals, equity, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure adequate policies, procedures and internal controls are in place and adhered to for all areas of responsibility.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.
  • Assist with external interim and annual audits.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA or actively seeking CPA required.
  • 5+ years of Accounting experience in a large corporation
  • Extensive experience in application of GAAP
  • Oracle EBS experience preferred.
  • Superior technical skills – MS Excel, ERP system skills.
  • Strong communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.
  • Complex analytic problem solving and project management skills.
  • Prioritizes and completes multiple tasks with close attention to detail while continually meeting deadlines.
  • Encourages teamwork and positive morale.
  • Ability to view business from detail and strategic levels.
  • Obvious enthusiasm and a dynamic energy level required.
