The Advertising Operations Manager is responsible for the setup, creation, launch and behind the scenes servicing of media campaigns for our Paid Search, Display Remarketing and GDS clients. In conjunction with the Media Campaign Managers, the Advertising Operations Manager focuses on maximizing ROI for media spend for the client and maximizing TC profitability on each client. The Advertising Operations Manager owns the setup and campaign builds within the major search engines for paid search, the various ad exchanges and third party ad networks for display advertising, and inventory platforms for GDS advertising enforcing documented process to ensure a smooth and expedited campaign start.  They will be responsible for the on time launch of accounts, proactively performing campaign status checks, troubleshooting and other fulfillment activities for their entire book of accounts.

In this role you will be our expert in all things related to media, including the generation of tracking tags, QA implemented tracking tags, display, paid search, and GDS advertising.  The Advertising Operations Manager will perform post-launch reviews, prepare screenshots, troubleshoot campaigns and work closely with our platform providers as well as iHotelier for technical support and troubleshooting on campaigns. 



  • Set up campaign accounts in various platforms including DCM, AdWords, AdExchange and DS
  • Establish deadlines for various components in order to achieve the completed projects by designated due date
  • Focus on timeliness and quality in campaign launches for clients, including correct linkage between all platforms, Insite insertions for consumption loading, and following all quality guidelines for campaign management
  • Create accounts in 3rd party systems
  • Generate tags
  • Build campaign keywords list & execute (Adwords, Bing, etc)
  • Perform post-launch quality reviews and prepare screen shots for clients
  • Prioritize issues and enhancement requests to maintain satisfied customers without losing focus on the big picture and long term strategy
  • Implement campaign changes and amendments as needed
  • Implement renewal campaigns
  • Support implementation of all tracking tags (audience, conversion, 3rd party, 1x1 pixels) across all media channels
    • Complete test bookings to ensure proper tag implementation
    • Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tag implementation
  • Complete regular campaign status checks, both proactively and on request from Media Campaign Manager
    • Troubleshoot issues that affect tracking, pacing, and/or campaign reporting
    • Ensure campaigns are running on pace and within the contractual obligations
    • Confirm that all assets are in compliance with site specifications and properly functioning
    • Use best practices to optimize for performance where necessary while not sacrificing delivery
  • Remain up-to-date on technology and Industry business through trade publications, newspapers and web sites, and assessing the potential impact of industry events/trends on the business
  • Support the evaluation, testing and implementation of new media networks and partners
  • Perform ongoing maintenance; Analyze campaigns and offer optimization recommendations based on software opportunities and troubleshooting expected campaign challenges
  • Monitor delivery of impressions on GDS and take action to mitigate lost revenue
  • Support operational and product requests for Preferred Placement Product line
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study; may include Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or Business Intelligence preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in paid search or display advertising managing client campaigns
  • Minimum of 1-2 years working with advertising campaign software (including Google Adwords, Bing, and Yahoo)
  • Minimum of 2 years working within the travel industry; use of Galileo, Sabre, Worldspan, Amadeus, GPS Tools and/or iHotelier a plus or Media experience in the Hotel industry a major advantage
  • 1-2 years of experience managing projects including successful management of projects through demonstrated organization, multi-tasking, prioritization and time management skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with ad tags, basic HTML and rich media
  • Exposure to contextual and remarketing display campaigns
  • Google Adwords Certified a plus, Google AdPlanner a plus
  • Technically focused to create the best campaigns for customers
  • Proficient in MS Office, with an expertise in MS Excel and intermediate level Powerpoint
