Overview

As an important member of the TravelClick Information Security team, the intern will perform essential and highly valued responsibilities for TravelClick while growing their information security skills and gathering real-world experience with this innovative company.  This internship allows a flexible work schedule and working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and drive remediation
  • Perform penetration testing
  • Perform forensic investigations
  • Analyze firewall rules for security compliance
  • Assist project teams in defining security requirements and designing secure solutions
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to IDS/IPS alerts
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to SIEM alerts
  • Monitor and analyze relevant vulnerability announcements and recommend appropriate action
  • Assess policy and regulatory compliance and drive remediation

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, topologies, and the OSI model
  • Exposure to programming/scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Ruby, Python, or Java)
  • Some experience implementing security controls in Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge of major web application stacks and technologies
  • Knowledge and experience with common security tools for network analysis, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
  • Knowledge and experience in malware prevention, detection, and mitigation
  • Prefer knowledge of secure software development best practices
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results oriented business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

 

Education:

  • Seeking Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Graduation date from your program December 2018 or later
