Sales Managers are responsible for helping to grow, maintain and support business within Central region.  This individual will also execute sales strategies to maximize sales opportunities and achieve targeted revenue goals within the assigned territory as determined by region RVP. This role is a hybrid sales, sales support role.

Responsibilities

Support Central Region Sales team with the following:

  • Own Central Region Goal for Featured Property product sales for the Central Region (20% of time)
  • Partner with Central Region’s largest sellers in support of day to day sales activities, meeting preparation, presentation development, prospecting, and ROI creation. (50% of time).  This would include:
    • Support existing GDS business: performance analysis and ROI reporting.
    • Lead sales calls, meeting face to face with key customers as needed
    • Perform analysis of prospects’ business and design solutions that best meet customer needs
    • Provide customer training on TC’s Business Intelligence and GDS media products
    • Work closely with DOS to identify, pursue and close NEW business
    • Assist in creating management company portfolio reviews and presentations inclusive of recommendations
    • Work to secure in-person meeting for DOS
  • Own regional marketing efforts to include Lunch and Learns and product shows cases through the year, from conception to execution.
  • Create and manage Central Region email lead generation campaigns across the entire region throughout the year
  • Handle all incoming web leads – loop in DOS when necessary or take to close
  • Provide adhoc support to remaining Central Region Sellers as time permits
  • Provide Out of Office support when field DOS is out of the office
  • Cover any open territory on an interim basis should opening arise.
  • Supports RVP with reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Shares best practices, sample presentations, learnings with entire team as opportunities present.

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results oriented environment
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and learn new products and systems
  • Demonstrate a strong skill set, including: presentation (in various settings: one-on-one, group, team), analytical and problem-solving, interpersonal and relationship-building, negotiation, time management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of customer and TravelClick management within a client and TravelClick’s organization
  • Strong understanding of customer dynamics and relationship management
  • Familiarity with sales processes and systems
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Business-to-business experience preferred
  • Experience with TravelClick products and hotel industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred
  • Conceptual knowledge of GDS and reservations processing a plus
  • Must be high energy
  • Must be a positive person who enjoys the company of others
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
