Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced, high performing Hybrid Digital and Rich Media Designer with experience in graphic design, rich media, and animation that brings to life our digital experiences, paid digital advertising and web platforms, including social. The ideal candidate has a passion for behavior change, a history of design excellence and innovation, and is capable of creating innovative design concepts that cross multiple channels ranging from traditional, digital, and social. You will collaborate with leaders of ideation; design, some web production to ensure concepts are well conceived from initial idea, design concept, through execution.

 

Projects include from Rich Media, HTML5 banners, animations, static banners, social media assets, and working on landing pages in HTML.

Responsibilities

The Digital Media Designer will interact with content teams, subject matter experts, user experience, media production to produce animations and interactive graphics, for our customer-facing sites, all while meeting or exceeding budget, schedule, quality, and business requirements.

 

  • Ability to execute ideas from concept to final creative
  • Create interactive visual content from conceptualization, review, and implementation, including translating precise content requirements into effective and accurate visual communications with subject matter experts, content teams, and engineering staff for a variety of technologies and platforms
  • Provide sketches, storyboards, proofs of concept, and presentations to effectively communicate visual concepts to internal stakeholders and project team members
  • Work closely with Manager Media Creative, designers, media designers and production to produce cutting edge, effective and timely learning content, and develop and maintain best production practices

Qualifications

  • An online portfolio demonstrating solid web design and layout skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an animator, interactive graphic artist or motion designer
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop CC and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experienced with Content Management Systems.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with brand goals and integrate brand experience into designs
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment 
  • Ability to generate, articulate and present creative ideas and strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, and motivate strategic thinking 
  • 2 + years of related experience (agency experience is a plus; academic and non-professional experience will be considered); Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/electronic media preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate art and design strategy to non-design stakeholders; to interpret and translate complex information to teams and individuals; and to report effectively to management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A good understanding of visual composition and symmetry
  • Comfortable with the Mac platform

OPTIONAL BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience in hospitality, travel industry
  • Development experience a plus
  • Experienced using Google Web Designer
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
