  • Overview

    The Application Developer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of transactional enterprise-grade systems. The Developer plans, tests, codes, and deploys components on our service-oriented architecture to allow for high-scalability, high-throughput transaction processing. This person should have in depth knowledge of Java and Enterprise Service Bus architectures in a Linux environment.  Experience with Fuse ESB or Apache Camel a definite plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implementation of application components in an n-tier architecture using Java and Apache Camel.
    • Design and implementation of new routes, filters, and patterns on the ESB.
    • Design and implementation of persistence layers including use of Oracle 12c database.
    • Monitor and maintain availability, reliability and overall health and solution delivery of enterprise architecture components. 
    • Develop new monitoring capabilities for new architecture components.
    • Troubleshoot/Resolve any application issues
    • Experience with enterprise-grade and enterprise-scale application development.
    • Experience with interacting with an offshore team(s) is a plus.

    Qualifications

    • Java (1-3+ years)
    • 3-5+ years of increasing responsibility in Enterprise Development roles
    • ESB (Fuse ESB preferred) – 1+ year
    • Spring Boot
    • Apache Camel
    • Oracle 12c database
    • SQL query tuning and optimization skills
    • Maven
    • GIT
    • Docker
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

    Soft skills:

    • Experience with troubleshooting, performance optimization
    • Experience with enterprise-grade design and implementation patterns
    • Must have a collaborative attitude
    • Candidate must be able to own deliverables with minimal direction from management
    • Ability to multi-task and push forward multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and critical thinking/problem solving skills are essential
    • Efficient time management and ability to prioritize tasks are a must
    • Work usually performed between 8:30 and 5:30 in business office environment. Minimal (if any) travel is expected. Maintenance windows and on-call support may require efforts outside core hours.
