  • Overview

    The Program Manager/Director will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects related to the TravelClick Reservations platform. This includes, but is not limited to, creating a project plan, estimating the length and complexity of the implementations for new customers, executing the project plan on time and on budget, and providing ongoing support, based on an Agile-type delivery methodology.

    The TravelClick Program Manager/Director will work closely with our engineering, QA, TechOps and product teams to guide projects and initiatives from conception to launch.  As a Program Manager/Director, you will be part of shaping the overall technology product direction and roadmap.


    The Program Manager/Director performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

    Plan the program

    • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the project
    • Create an operating plan
    • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess strengths and identify areas for improvement
    • Monitor funding proposals to ensure the continuous delivery of services

    Organize the program

    • Ensure that activities of each project align with company policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation and industry standards
    • Develop forms and records to document program activities
    • Oversee the activities on the client side for tracking purposes to ensure key milestones are achieved

    Lead the program

    • Ensure all team members are informed about the required deliverables and due dates and have an understanding of the overall program requirements and contractual obligations and receive appropriate training
    • Provide direction, input and feedback to team members as well as cross-functionally
    • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain support and to solicit input for improvements
    • Coordinate the delivery of services among different teams within the organization to increase effectiveness and efficiency

    Control the program

    • Create and deliver reports for senior management
    • Communicate with management on progress of deliverables
    • Ensure the program operates within the approved budget
    • Monitor and approve all budgeted expenditures
    • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
    • Provide required information to have invoices generated and submitted according to the established timelines
    • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control them
    • Monitor program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework
    • Report evaluation findings and recommend changes to enhance the workflow, as appropriate

    Basic Qualifications

    • University degree
    • 3-5+ years of program / project management
    • Hospitality / travel industry experience a plus
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 
    • Travel up to 50%.
    • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken
