  • Overview

    The Regional Sales Prospector plays a key role in acquiring new customers by prospecting qualified leads for the sales teams and by pursuing leads directly in untouched and lightly penetrated markets. He/She can influence others using the right arguments and power of expression, which results in creating new sales opportunities for TravelClick.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and deliver monthly qualified lead volumes for each DOS within the assigned region focusing on new/new business and customers who have not bought from us in the past 12 months
    • Where requested, set up appointments with customers and track DOS follow up and closure reporting any failure to follow through to the RDOS in a timely manner
    • Source new opportunities, hotel openings, new builds, and feed leads through to DOS in a way that will expedite our ability to make sales
    • Accountable for clearly articulating TravelClick’s business value to clients and prospects and convincing customers to meet with local DOS
    • Identify particular product pitches which generate fast and positive results
    • Share best practice with other Prospectors and work collaboratively with the Account Management team, International Sales Support and other business units to ensure transparency of activities and data
    • Manage sales activities using Salesforce.com
    • Drive sales of our core products through solution based approach and coloration with each DOS
    • Drive and manage a pipeline of business to a successful sales result across multiple products

    Basic Qualifications

    The Ideal candidate has experience in the Hospitality Industry, has at least 1-year practical experience in a similar position (Inside sales or telemarketing), knows how to work under and handle pressure and strives to meets deadlines. The candidate is able to identify, prioritize and focus on critical tasks, is very detail oriented and well organized. Furthermore, the candidate knows how to share thoughts, opinions and ideas with other clearly and fluently, verbally and in written form. The ideal candidate is very persistent and persuasive and does not accept no as an answer.

    Additionally, the candidate is very computer literate, (Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Internet Technologies...). A Bachelor degree in hospitality/tourism fields and a contagious enthusiasm is a plus.

     

    LANGUAGES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION: 

    Must be fluent in English and German
