  • Overview

    The Training Specialist introduces recurrent training modules of existing TravelClick client portfolio of the International Division. Included is instructional design and delivery. The Training specialist systematically arranges activities for self and others and schedules according to deadlines in order to achieve a specific goal. He/ She also can influence others using the right arguments and power of expression, which results in gaining approval for opinions, ideas and proposals, and is able and willing to suitably adapt to changing situations, tasks or expectations and different individuals. He/ She is open to new ideas.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct online learning sessions via internet tools, present and/or facilitate training, workshops, and group meetings, including ad hoc specialized customer training. Training prioritization based on specified criteria (e.g. urgency and impact to the organization and to the clients)
    • Manage the creation of new training programs and the maintenance of existing programs, specifically based on revenue management background in the hotel industry
    • Develop quality learning experiences within the company, and department instructional design, and performance measurement standards to maximize participant retention and to measure success of the learning experience.
    • Creates or assists in the creation of client communications for new product enhancements or releases with detailed descriptions of updates to clients. Ensures all learning documentation reflects new release information
    • Provide learner, department and client feedback regarding training results and take initiative to make recommendations for continuous improvement to programs
    • Provide internal product training to support teams in the ASPAC region and support the teams with product issues when needed.
    • Provide internal teams and clients with best practices on using TravelClick products
    • Assist the Sales Force in other ad hoc sales initiatives (Divisional and Regional Meetings)
    • Function as the main conduit for product information transfer to/from other TravelClick teams, and construct systems and programs for that transfer.
    • Up to 30% travel may be required

    Basic Qualifications

    The Ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Hospitality, Revenue Management, Education, Training and Development, or related. He/She also has experience in the travel and/or hotel industry, specifically hotel revenue management and sales as a subject matter expert. Additionally, the ideal candidate has experience in using and/or selling/training complex product solutions, specifically to drive hotel revenue. The previous experience of the ideal candidate has to be in strategic and solution training and curriculum development. He/She needs to have experience in distance learning and advanced Computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, multi-media training preferred. On top, the ideal candidate has a passion for learning and ability to quickly assimilate new information or technology and apply that knowledge.

     

    LANGUAGES:
    Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (for Chinese clients)
