    TravelClick is looking for a talented Project/Business System Analyst who shares our vision for continuously improving the customer experience, who is motivated by challenging problems in distributed systems, who has exceptional problem-solving skills to provide system analyst support and who has proven management skills to provide project management support, to join the team based in our Ottawa office. We need our analyst to be versatile and passionate to drive strategies, tackle new problems and analyze existing solutions while continuing to push our products forward.

    • Engage with key business owners and end customers to understand their requirements for TravelClick’s portfolio of the GMS Product
    • Perform feasibility analysis on data, applications and/or processes, as needed, to confirm the requirements
    • Research and document current business processes, recommend improvements and/or system enhancements that allow Analysts and Data Scientists to perform their duties more efficiently and with improved accuracy
    • Manage and report status of multiple Projects/Work streams across different customers

    Responsibilities

    Business Systems Analyst:

     

    • In this role you will work with stakeholders across the organization to understand their requirement and document. You will be the mediator/translator between product teams and technical team
    • As per the need of the project, you will be required to interact with end customers to capture their requirements, document and provide direction to the technical teams
    • Feasibility and Gap Analysis will have to be performed to ensure the requirements can be successfully met
    • Actively engagement in testing phase to ensure successful delivery as per the requirements
    • Evaluate and create data quality reporting documentation to assist different teams
    • Position will also requires the ability to prioritize and manage work queues (in Rally) and provide troubleshooting support
    • In this role you will also assist to investigate, analyze, and provide comprehensive solutions for service requests, as needed. Provide thorough documentation related to investigation and issue resolution. Pursue rapid repair in accordance with business objectives for break fix items
    • Write and review accurate and complete procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries
    • Design, develop and implement monitoring processes to troubleshoot/resolve issues
    • Role requires individual to be accountable for communicating and working with multiple teams and stakeholders

     

    Project Analyst:

     

    • Manage day-to-day project work flow including stakeholder communications and ensure all deadlines are met
    • Outline initial implementation plan, monitor and test projects as they are developed
    • Assist with creation and maintenance of project documentation, including status reports, project schedules and budgets, and post mortem reviews
    • Provide risk management by identifying possible issues before they arise, clearly and proactively communicating effects on scope, timeliness of delivery for projects
    • Coordinate and create all documentation including but not limited to scope of work, business requirements and project plans. Take ownership of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation
    • Risk management and escalating issues when tasks in the critical path are not completed or behind schedule
    • Create timelines, track against estimates, prepare weekly status reports and provide regular reporting on resource allocation and productivity
    • Work on special projects related to data integrity or process improvement as identified by management
    • Supporting the release and deployment of our products

    Basic Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 4-5 years of experience working in client facing-technology as a business system analyst and project analyst
    • 2+ years of Business Analysis experience

     

    What we're looking for:

    • 4-5 years of experience working in client facing-technology as a business system analyst and project analyst
    • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree is a plus
    • Exposure to Oracle SQL & PL/SQL including stored procedures, packages, functions and triggers. Individual must be very comfortable using PLSQL
    • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting or PERL
    • Strong working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
    • Certified Project Manager (PMP) and/ or Business Analyst (CBAP) preferred
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Rally, Visio
    • Ability to work across multiple projects with changing deadlines and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions
    • Ability to quickly learn company processes and technology
    • Problem solving and structured analysis skills
    • Familiar working with teams in different time zones
    • Business-client oriented mind-set with strong attention to detail and follow-up
    • Self-starter - ability to manage projects independently and with minimal supervision
