    TravelClick has an immediate opening for a Junior Front-end Developer in our Orlando Office, as part of our Web Solutions department. With thousands of customers, from single-property hotels to large hotel brands leveraging our hospitality-specific Web CMS, TravelClick is looking for a motivated developer to join our expanding team.

     

    You will report to the Web Operations and Development Manager and your main responsibility will be to build and develop new product features on our Web CMS, as well as to maintain our platform and support our internal operations teams and customers. You will join a multidisciplinary, dynamic team that leverages agile development techniques, and the latest Web technologies to apply best practices and deliver a market-leading Web CMS tailored to our prestigious hotel customers.

    Functional Description

    • Develop high quality and efficient websites with an integrated Content Management System, ensuring strong optimization and functionality
    • Introduce new cutting-edge front-end functionality to our websites, and keep up with the latest web and front-end related technologies
    • Extend existing functionality, maintain existing codebase and help put in place and document best practices and procedures for front-end development
    • Manage Domain DNS and hosting issues
    • Collaborate with team members, Product Owners, offshore teams and other stakeholders to help implement solutions within an Agile / Scrum framework
    • Manage & implement requested changes or new features with optimal quality and within committed timelines
    • Develop an understanding of our website products, CMS, and use that to create robust, efficient and widely-compatible code
    • Document your development work, both in the code and in our internal documentation
    • Follow our testing and QA process to help ensure client satisfaction
    • Research and solve problems that arise
    • Perform daily scrums & routine code reviews

    What we are looking for

    Basic Qualifications  

    • High School Diploma/GED required
    • 1+ years of front-end development experience required
    • Knowledge of any PHP template engine
    • Knowledge of GIT version control system
    • Basic knowledge of OS administration based on UNIX
    • JavaScript programming using jQuery or VanillaJS
    • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and web standards (W3C)
    • Experience with Cross-browsing, Responsive and Web optimization
